Robert F. Bernstock Has Been A Successful Entrepreneur

Robert F. Bernstock is an accomplished businessman, who has worked in a number of different industries as a manager and as a Board member over the course of his career. These industries include: food and beverage, lawn and garden, household consumer goods, retail convenience stores, fast casual restaurants, logistics, information technology, and telecommunications. Within these industries Robert F. Bernstock has been an Executive Vice President with the Campbell Soup Company, President and CEO (and Board member) of Vlasic Foods International, Senior Vice President of the Dial Corporation, President and Chief Operating Officer of Scotts Miracle-Gro, and President of the Mailing and Shipping Services Division of the United States Postal Service.

The responsibilities of Robert F. Bernstock have included oversight of every major functional area within these Fortune 1000 companies, and have encompassed: corporate and division strategy, financial planning and control, treasury and tax, acquisitions and divestitures, cost savings and asset management, legal and administration, human resources, information technology, supply chain management, and marketing and sales.

Robert F. Bernstock has also been a successful entrepreneur, and earlier in his career he was involved with several venture capital start-ups. Robert F. Bernstock joined United Satellite Communications in 1983 as Vice President of Marketing, and he was a key leader in the overall planning and launch of the nation’s first Direct Broadcast Satellite service. In 1985 Robert F. Bernstock was Vice President of Marketing at MultiMate International Inc., working at that time for one of the largest computer software companies in the nation. During 2001 Robert F. Bernstock was appointed President, Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member of Atlas Commerce. As CEO he was responsible for positioning Atlas Commerce as a leading provider of software applications for strategic sourcing in four industry segments.

Robert F. Bernstock is a graduate of Hamilton College and he received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard University.
